Amor infiniti, terme issu du livre de Trinh Xuan Thuan "Désir d'infini", signifie initialement l'amour de l'infini mais peut aussi s'entendre ici comme l'Amour infini.

 

Cette double lecture, ce lien étroit entre l'Amour et l'Infini, est le socle de la pensée d'écriture et scénographique du projet Amor infiniti. 

Manuel Adnot a ainsi composé une série de pièces pour choeur à huit voix et guitare. La musique est inspirée tout autant par l'absolu et l'abstraction sonore, que par les grands espaces insulaires.

On y retrouve de longues nappes sonores aussi bien jouées par la guitare que chantées par le choeur au service de compositions lancinantes et mélancoliques.

La musique utilise des principes d'écriture venant à la fois des musiques improvisées et contemporaine en utilisant le choeur pour accompagner la guitare.

Manuel Adnot thus composed a series of pieces for eight-voice choir and guitar.

The music is inspired as much by the absolute and the sound abstraction, as by the large island spaces.  we can hear long sound layers as well played by the guitar as sung by the choir in the service of nagging and melancholic compositions.

 

The music uses writing principles from both improvised and contemporary

music, using the choir to accompany the guitar.
